Aston Villa v Wolves: Three points and fifth place

Let me get this out of the way early; we will win tomorrow. The question really is, by how many and I think I can answer that too; not many. You see, Mad Mick is going to come and defend and play exactly how we like to play tomorrow and we don't like that.

Wigan the other night was fantastic - they came at us and it meant we could play exactly how we like to play and at the end of the day we dominated, but Mad Mick, who was at the game, will not make the same mistake.

Man for man we are better than them and Mad Mick will probably over complicate things tomorrow when what he should be doing is getting his players up for battle, which will be enough for us, as Martin O'Neill will have his players up for war and they will run like a faithful dog for Martin O'Neill, looking up occasionally for the approving nod from their owner.

Early Team News

Martin O'Neill has faith in the ability of these players, not only on the pitch, but to recharge and be ready for this match and I think we will probably see the same eleven start that started against Wigan and will likely start against Sunderland and Chelsea. O'Neill isn't going to change and he could be right - we will see at the end of the season.

Prediction & Betting

As you know, I've stopped betting on Villa and when the best price you can get is 2/5 - odds usually reserved for the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal - you can see why. On the other hand you could have a cheeky bet on Wolves, if you were a Wolves fan at 8/1. That is a great price for a local match. Click here for the odds and a free bet.

So, as the title says - I think we will be in fifth place by the time most other matches kick off and while I'm not completely convinced we will still be there on Monday morning - Man City have to travel to Fulham and Liverpool go to Old Trafford - it should make for an interesting weekend.

Video of the Day

You are probably as surprised as I am that I managed to do this twice in a row and it is a football video today. {rokbox title=|Not Womack & Womack :: Aston Villa Blog Video of the Day| text=|Click here to watch|size=|640 505| album=|demo|}http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_URyWFBOy4&autoplay=1{/rokbox} and don't just think it is another beer advert.

Mind The Doors

Right, that is it for me today. I woke with a stiff neck/upper back and it really is horrible. I'm typing this post in complete agony and all I want to do is go back to bed.

We could sign Messi and Villa today and chances are you would hear about it on the club site before you do here and for that, I apologise, but I have an appointment with my bed and hopefully some hot oil and some painkillers.
