Aston Villa v Wolves: Live, updates, text, banter, Twitter, video

Now - I was fairly confident with my prediction yesterday and when you look at the league table - if you predict anything other than a home win, you're either a clown or a Wolves fan. Even the bookies have us down as clear favourites - one even calls us a banter bet.

But like I said before Wigan - these are games we have to win if we are to be taken seriously. If the likes of Stewart Downing, Webcam, James Milner and Gabby are really to be taken seriously - these are games we need to win.

I mention those players, not because they are better or because the need to be mentioned, but they are the players we are building the team around and it will be one of these players that make it happen today and it it will be one of these players that win it for us today. We have ten games left and these players can all find themselves on the plane to South Africa and this is their calling.

Aston Villa Live

I'm still in a bad way - unable to move my neck and going up and down stairs is horrible, so after I publish this, I'm going to go get comfortable on the couch with every pillow in the house. The wife doesn't understand and I don't think until this happens anyone really can, but I am going to march on with lots of Nurofen inside.

So, marching on, we will be updating here with team news and anything that happens remotely linked to today. The Twitter page will also be getting updated quite a lot today and I'm sure there will be one or two links provided for those struggling to get to the game.

I'm not sure why this today but I have been thinking a lot about the World Cup and well, there is always a chance. {rokbox title=|World Cup :: Aston Villa Blog Video of the Day| text=|Click here to watch|size=|640 505| album=|demo|}http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QIAv2EoIP0&autoplay=1{/rokbox}.

Talk is James Milner is going to be offered a £65,000 a week new contract. While I have no doubt he's going to be offered a new contract all this off the back of one good match - it's a little much. But they do have quotes and it is on the club site too.

Form counts for nothing according to Martin O'Neill. Well, it does and he knows it, but he is setting expectations.
