Details of the new shirt are going to be announced today and I suspect that we will get to see it too. I hope we don't go down the West Ham route and have different shades and boxes all over the place; simple claret shirt, blue arms, white shorts and claret blue socks for me. Not difficult and it won't be very different from that.
Anyway, news today and probably an image or two, so as and when we get them we will put them up here and we'll also be adding other news if there is anything today.
You've got to hope there will be. O'Neill had a day off yesterday, I'm fairly convinced nothing happens at Villa on a Saturday or Sunday unless we have a match, despite what we are told. As a club I think we are still in the days where it is Monday to Friday for things like that and seeing as we are playing in Spain on Saturday, I fancy they'll be an announcement or two this week.
There has to be new players announced this week. Emile, Ashley, Carew and Petrov are all back for pre-season training today and they're walking back into the smallest squad in the league, with potentially more matches than most other teams in the league. It's madness not to have them all in by now and I hope it doesn't end up costing the manager.

So, it is going to be an exciting week. I expect Distin, maybe Delph and maybe Naughton and I'm hoping for a surprise or two and big ones. We will have to wait and see.
