The Blues fans like Taglor who write negative comments 100% of the time just to upset people I agree should be shot in both buttocks and each bollock. But even worse are the thought police who visit this site and bring up the 'negative comments, isnt it terrible'debate. yawn... GET OVER IT!! Comments will be either positive, negative or neutral if people are free to voice their honest opinion. If you have such a sensitive disposition that a blogs comments affects you so badly I feel sorry for you. ps i think collins will prove to be a great signing and the smiths are the best band ever ;D - kieran

Agreed gareth, I was there on Sunday as usual and despite the win it was an absolutely shite game to sit through, we look so pedestrian with our style of play. - Chris Parry

Damian

Now that i think about it you're probably right. Any recalls that i can think of have all been from lower leagues. Cheers.

However, it would indicate though that Freddie is close on full fitness. Let's hope he hasn't lost any of his ability :) - Darragh McGeown

So we're thin on numbers, and a player who is putting in a lot of effort recently is about to leave?

I don't rate Shorey particularly highly, but come on, this is insane. - Mike Carter

Sorry to see shorey go although I suspect he would have spent most of the season on the bench at best. As long as MON gives the youngsters a go. Sky sport report Shorey is going on year long loan which at least doesnt close the door if he proves himself.

Not sure about Collins although I was at both West Ham games I cant recall him standing out. Anyone else have thoughts on how good/bad he is?

Bentley to Man City they are welcome to him. There will be so many egos at the club Hughes will have a job on his hands. Maybe he thinks he has managed him before at Blackburn and knows how to handle him but then he was a big fish at Man City he will be a minnoe. Taxis are cheaper in Manchester maybe that is the draw for Bentley.

Clueless, even Bentley seems on his way to Man City.

So why not get rid of Shorey and bring in Collins...MON is absolutely diabolical in the transfer market - or Lerner is not opening his wallet.

At least Collins will be able to be 'effective' on those long balls. Bloody awful. - Michael panizza

The fact that its a loan deal means that a clause can be added to state that Shorey can be recalled if we need him so i'm not as disappointed as i was when i first heard it :) Maybe he's trying to keep the wage bill down as we are about to catch a big one ;D - Darragh McGeown

I'm not happy about Shorey leaving as he was having a good pre/early season. The player himself must know he is not going to get many games with warnock on the seen and asked to go. You can't blame MON for this and if its part of the kranjcar deal then i would be happy.

This certainly indicated that feddie will be back :)

MON has absolutely no idea in the transfer market (hope he prooves me horribly wrong later) why would he not have used shorey in a swap deal for Distin at the time or even kranjaar.

I can understand why folk would be cheesed off with our transfer activity this summer but the fact is that MON has clearly had to work within a budget.

RL is very wealthy but he's not in the same financial league as Shiek Mansoor or Abramovich and the club itself does not generate sufficient funds to allow us to spend money like Spurs.

This doesn't make Lerner a liar or any of that nonsense Faccundo seems to enjoy spouting, we simply have to be a bit realistic and maintain a sense of perspective about where we stand.

If Dunne and Collins sign today then at least we will have a squad with decent cover in all positions - which is sdefinitely a step in the right direction.

I wouoldn't put it down as a brilliant window for us - but nor should it be prompting all this whining either. - Dave J
