Advertising

Damian · 24 June 2010ADD AS GOOGLE PREFERRED SOURCE

We will happily accept money for advertising on this site and the more you offer the more chance we have of saying yes. We say that because we have a few conditions. If after you've read them, you'd still like to proceed, by all means get in contact with us.

Things you should know about advertising on The Villa Blog

  • All advertising links will include the nofollow attribute
  • We will link to your site, with the nofollow tag, if we review a product or website and there is no need to pay. All you have to do is send in a URL or the product. Please note however - by sending in your URL it does not guarantee that it will be reviewed
  • We will not tell you how many people visited last month. Advertising on this site isn't about about numbers and while we know that will make it difficult for you, it makes it very easy for us.
  • Standard advertising positions are as follows: right column (above and below fold), in content MPU, in content review, above comment box and below comment box
  • We are not interested in affiliate schemes or profit sharing.
  • There is no fixed cost to advertising. Based on how much you are willing to pay, we will tell you where we will place the ad and for how long.

We know we are making it difficult for you, but this way, we are weeding out all the text link junkies and at the same time, we are not covering the site in cheap links for a few beers each month.

Suggestions on how to very easily get your banner up

If you have a new book coming out or a new pair of boots or a new football related product or service - offer to give some away as a competition. All you have to do is commit to a specific number and then deliver to the winners as and when we provide that information.

If the visitors to the site are going to directly benefit - your chances of getting a banner or a link hugely increase.

We do have other sites

All our links go on Aston Villa Central and we are also starting a new blog, just about football here, due to open in October 2010.
