Aston Villa v Wolves: Three points in the bag

I'm making a bold prediction this morning, because this is what we should expect when playing Wolves at home. Anything other than three points would be a disappointment and we will get it.

But before we get to the match, there is news and it isn't the best. The Club have agreed to sell Jonathan Hogg to Watford. Now, someone is saying this is because we owe them money because of the Ashley Young sale and it is a coincidence, but the club will never tell us that, so it is just speculation.

There is little to write about Hogg because he didn't make that many appearances, but we can fondly remember the match against Manchester United. He didn't look out of place and you could argue he looked exactly in the right place, but yet again, we sell off one of the younger players.

It isn't positive news, but it is news. Good luck Mr Hogg - you'll have fun at and in Watford. Now to the match.

Updates and all that

You can watch the match here and we will be providing updates here and on Twitter - but get your prediction below - you have one hour!

Something the manager might have said

Now, I'm not sure about this, but I read something on Twitter this morning that the manager has said something about helping out The Clowns in the Europa League as they face Braga after we faced them in pre-season. Did I read it right? I hope not. He should have nothing to do with that shower of shit down the road. But more on that later, after I've had a chance to investigate.

Lastly a rumour or two

Don't ask me where I read this, but I read something about Liam Ridgewell and a possible return to Aston Villa. I don't think he should ever have left, but he is tainted now. He can't. I also don't think it will happen. But, if Luke Young joins QPR, it might. You never know.
