Liverpool were beaten by a better team last night Aston Villa did them proper style
If viewing footage of this match were part of the punishment then today must have been a torturous experience
Barry played well because he really didn't have a midfield to play against and well we really should have had more but I honestly think we are as lost as Newcastle at the moment
It comes down to quality in my opinion and while I'm probably deluding myself I want to have a little faith in the consistency position Changing managers can not be good and I want to see what it will be like with the same manager for five seasons
Okay that isn't all he said and we'll get to more later but the thing that really does annoy me about O'Neill is he doesn't seem to see the obvious and these same stupid excuses
Three points is three points and at the end of the day I'll take poor performances every week if we win every week but it was ultimately a poor performance and as someone has said to me this morning
Gareth Barry and Martin O'Neill have as good as said this week that fifth place would be an improvement on last season and while it is stating the obvious it also needs a little clarification
The responsibility rests with our owner to make funds available and to instruct the manager to spend those funds to bring in the quality and the numbers to get us top four or better next season
I apologise if I am coming across as a bit of a tosser this morning,but it was actually the points we needed and not a spirited display and I would have quite happily accepted a boring 1-0 over that game yesterday
