I’ve been writing this blog since 2004, and I read everything that lands in the inbox — whether it’s a thought on a post, a correction, a memory of a match I’ve written about, or just Villa talk. If you want to reach out, please do.

Working with the blog
A fair few of the emails I get are commercial, so to save us both some time, here’s where I stand:
Betting content — no. I get regular requests for sponsored posts about betting, and the answer is always the same. Please don’t ask.
Advertising. I’m not adding any more ad slots to the site — I’m happy with Google handling that. What I will do is a banner on a page: a month, three months, a year, whatever suits. Get in touch and we’ll sort something out.
Sponsored posts and paid links — yes, done properly. I’m open to both, but they’ll always be clearly labelled. Every link gets the attribute search engines require for its type — rel="sponsored" for anything paid or compensated, rel="nofollow" where a link isn’t an endorsement — whichever is the right one for the link being posted, and sponsored posts are marked as sponsored where readers can see it. That’s not negotiable — readers of this blog get told when something’s paid for, and no amount of budget buys a plain followed link. If you’re happy with that, so am I.
Collaborations — happy to. Podcasts, fan projects, joint pieces, whatever you’ve got in mind. Same rule as above: we won’t hide that it’s a collaboration.
And if none of that applies and you just fancy talking Villa — email me. Those are the best ones anyway.
