Is Olof Mellberg coming home to Aston Villa
It sounds like Ireland just wants more money and based on this season he probably deserves it, but if the story is true, he has been offered £60k a week, raising to £80k a week after two years; are we going to pay anything close to that for a 22 year old who has had two good seasons
Aston Villa travel to Middlesbrough before coming home to play the last game at Villa Park against Newcastle
As for good performances Jimmy that match against Bolton was possibly the worst performance all season. Come on put things into perspective
With our new state of the art training complex and up to date training recuperation and dietary practices surely having to play forty fifty or 60 games in a season
I know one or two of you will tell me I'm living in cloud cuckoo land but the manager is basically saying we're not going to make the same mistakes again
It's not that Liverpool are not a more attractive offer in terms of potential it's just that Harry Redknapp is at Spurs
Olof Mellberg would be a perfect replacement for Martin Laursen but O'Neill won't do it
I don't think there has been anyone mentioned to replace Laursen but that is going to happen or should I say it has to happen
I'm all for finding talent but rather than pay for a prospect we should be developing our own and buying in quality
