Aston Villa take three points at Bolton

The only thing that mattered today was the result and we had to get three points. We got it and the job is done; you have to be happy.

Milly started on the bench and was replaced in the starting line up by Fabian Delph who was replaced in the second half by Steve Sidwell. It was, I am sure, nice for Milly to get a rest even if he wasn't really tired.

Without going into great detail, as this is a match post, we didn't dominate or destroy Bolton but we did enough. Bottom line it was our quality that won the match and their lack of quality that prevented them getting more out of it.

Webcam scored in the eleventh minute with our quality moment of the match. He was just inside the box and he bent a shot around Jaaskelainen and into the net. That moment was all it took and had Bolton had a player up front with a little bit of quality too, they might have done better with their possession, but they don't and they didn't.

Someone called it a comfortable first half - overall it was a comfortable match and probably deserved, but none of that matters today - we just needed the three points and that was what we got. Away support was fantastic too.

Right, post-mortem tomorrow, but that was nice and please vote for your man of the match to the right. I'm going Delph.
