Aston Villa v Stoke: Team news, updates and all that Paul Lambert jazz

You know when you go out and have a little too much to drink but you know it was fun? That is me from last night. I didn't need the extra drink, but it was fun. And now, we've got the might Aston Villa to look forward to.

And as I wrote yesterday, I think we're going to win this. I think it's going to be a happy day and I think even though it might not be the prettiest football, it will be better than we expect and not just about sitting back and hitting long.

You see, we're in that place we got to last season. Or I hope we are. We'll find out today. If we don't beat Stoke at home after beating Chelsea at home, then something now as it should be. But we'll beat Stoke and Robbie savage wont be happy and will say not nice things on the radio about us.

Updates, team news and all that

And to make this post not only relevant but up to date, here is the team. Starting for us today we have Guzan, Bacuna, Bertrand, Westwood, Vlaar, Baker, El Ahmadi, Delph, Benteke, Weimann and Gabby.

Personally, I'm disappointed that Bennett isn't starting after last week and because Bertrand isn't our player. You've got to play your players for them to get better.

But Lambert knows what he's doing. Doesn't he? Updates throughout the afternoon. And all that.
