Blackburn travel to Villa Park today for an FA Cup match. Blackburn will leave with nothing and we will have our name in the hat for the next round. I don't know this for sure, but this is what I believe.
I believe this because we are on a run and it is only Blackburn. It isn't Manchester United or Arsenal, so we can win and I think we should and I think the manager will take this tournament seriously.
Why Aston Villa will win
But, it isn't going to be straightforward. You see our star man is cup-tied which means we either revert to playing Gabby upfront or we bring in Emile Heskey and keep the formation that has done so well for us since Houllier came in.
I don't think we will play Gabby upfront. I think if anything, the last couple of games have shown us how important it is to have a player leading the line that actually knows what he is doing. Gabby was never going to be that player for us, much like the Moore brothers weren't, Julian wasn't and Vassell wasn't.
Some will say that is cruel of me but at the end of the day, multi millionaire Gabby doesn't mind and the numbers back it up. I was going to literally eat shit if he scored just two more league goals this season than he did last time out - that was how confident I was that it wasn't going to happen.
Emile can do it and early team news
We have all seen a different Emile Heskey this season under Gerard Houllier and that is why I think he will start and why I think he'll do a good job for us. I'd prefer Bent, but I can't have him and I have to live with that.
As for early team news; expect the same as last time out apart from the obvious - even Cuellar at right back even though Kyle Walker is ready and bale again. I think there is a chance you might find Webcam on Downing on the bench and Albrighton starting, but I think it is 50/50 and I think they will come on too.
So, not really the same as last time, but not too many changes. I'm off for a fun morning with the boy - back at about 12 for the football. Think it is radio today -= even better. FA Cup and the radio. Love it.
