Going through the motions at Crystal Palace and time for something new

So, it's December 2nd and a month until the transfer window opens when a new manager might want to bring a player or two in to try and save the club.

But it shouldn't be about him getting January, it should be about the new manager getting as much time as possible so it doesn't cost Lerner as much as it could.

And I saw a statistic the other day that put Aston Villa as 92nd in the table of all 92 clubs for the last nine games. If that statistic is true and we're bottom of so many tables at the moment, it's just another nail in the coffin.

But today it's about Palace and I have to tell you I'm a little surprised the manager is still in the job and I'm starting to think that the owner and CEO don't care because all actions are pointing to that, to the extent that you've got the Supporter Trust running a poll.

Now, you can sign the poll but then you're also falling into the stupid group that think the club doesn't know how supporters feel and you fuel the Trust into thinking that they're actually doing something for the fans. Me, I think they should be doing much bigger things, but that's just me.

And this is where I want to write that none of this matters and it's just about the football, but it's actually that it does matter and it's starting to matter more. It's getting to the stage where it's the only thing that does matter.

It's starting to feel a little like going through the motions and I suppose when only 25,000 turn up at Villa Park, it's not just me. Updates and team news and all that later.
