Match post at Shrewsbury Town

I've not done a post like this in a long time, but the match is streamed on YouTube and I'm adding it on the page below because it's going to be nice to see some of the players and how the manager sets things up.

It's going to be nice because there have been so many changes. One thing I'm fairly sure isn't going to change is how he sets things up. I don't think we'll necessarily see the intensity today, it's more about keeping that formation and learning about the other players in a match, but still, it's going to be fun to watch.

In other news though, we've not seen any new players the last couple of days. What exactly is Christian Purslow up to?

That was tongue in cheek. The talk is that Douglas Luiz is close and that we're stepping up the chase for a new keeper. If I was Jed Steer, I'd be a little surprised by that but I'd also be okay with it after signing a new contract and knowing that keepers tend to come into their own as they get older. He's only 26 and he's got plenty of time. But I do think he did enough last season to warrant starting for us next time out.

But that's just me. There is a match coming up today and we're going to see more. And it's not long until the season starts too, so things are starting to get interesting again. And if you haven't already, click here to enter the competition to win tickets to the Luke Roper box.
