Better late than never is what I've always thought and this post is late. I've been busy for two days so I apologise and by busy, I do mean working and drinking.
And tonight is a big big match. Brighton was a decent result in the end but tonight we are at home and we have to use that advantage to win the match. I'm not sure what the advantage is because we are playing at home, but they say there is.
Actually, lets look at that for a moment. 30 or 40 years ago I can easily understand that advantage, but today, I'm not so sure. Is there an advantage to play at home? I think I could argue there isn't these days. You might even be able to argue that there is an advantage for the away team, even if rarely used, understood or taken.
That aside, we played the last match without a recognised striker. That will be the case tonight also. I am not convinced it's such a bad thing.
What I mean by this is that when Jack scored against Brighton it was because he was attacking and the cross came in. I know I'm making a lot of this at the moment, but for me we haven't done enough so not doing it means it is easy to highlight. Tonight we need to do more.
We wont beat Watford if we don't get the ball into the box. Not rocket science. And on that, I'm getting to Heathrow and I need to get on a flight. Keep me updated please.
And before I go. Mbwana Samatta signed today. We will have to wait and see what happens with this, but it will be fun to watch unfold.
