Aston Villa make the first signing of the summer after Aleksandar Tonev agreed terms and signed on the dotted line.
For those that didn't know, Tonev is 23 years old and is classed as winger. He has played the last couple of seasons with Lech Poznań and contributed with goals and assists. He is what is quickly turning into, a typical Paul Lambert signing.
And that is to say, we don't really know that much about him. And that isn't a bad thing, in fact, based on the success the manager had last season, it may very well be a good thing and is fitting with the ethos that the manager is trying to bring to the club.
And there is further speculation coming out tonight that representatives of the club are on their way to talk with representatives of Younès Belhanda. It's a representative convention of sorts.
Things are hotting up and before I forget, Nathan Baker signed a new contract to stay at the club. I'm a big fan of Baker and think he has a lot to offer, now and in the future.
