Is this the worst ever start to a Premier League season for Aston Villa?

There are reasons we didn't get anything today and in fairness, it is probably a bit of everything, so not one is getting the blame.

It could be that we didn't start with Darren Bent and Benteke missed a couple of very good opportunities, or it could be that after using all three substitutions Joe Bennett went off on a stretcher and we had to finish the match with ten men and Barry Bannan at left back.

Or it could be that we didn't know what to do or actually that we didn't look like wanting to win today, but those two are opinion, although we did do quite well at containing Spurs in the first half and actually went in at half time with as many chances on goal as them.

But, is this now officially the worst ever start to a Premier League season for us? Can someone confirm or deny this please as quickly as possible, because I'm starting to think things couldn't get any worse and they have to start getting better soon.

I don't know what to write for you. We'll make up some great reasons why it is okay to lose at Spurs and how unlucky we got, so it's okay isn't it, we don't need to worry. Losing 2-0 is actually a good result.

The team
