New kit, no new badge, England, speculation and Twitcher

The new kit came out this week and it was claret and blue, so in my book it was a success. We've still got the comedy badge on it, but I can only see that changing with a new owner so we're probably stuck with it.

The grass at VIlla Park has also grown a whole centimeter this week which for this time of year is a little behind target, but the lads are working around the click to rectify the slowdown in growth.

In other football news this week, Harry Redknapp was sacked as Spurs boss, which you've got to be a little surprised about. I'd have Redknapp at Villa tomorrow even though he isn't a long term manager. He can create something that makes it easier to get a top manager after two or three seasons - just look who Spurs replace him with.

England beat Sweden and they did it well, coming from behind and it will have people believing, but we did make hard work of it. And now, we only have to not lose against Ukraine to go through and because France will probably beat Sweden, it looks like we will be playing Spain in the knockout stages and if we win that match, I might start thinking it is possible.

Speculation

I'll leave this short post with speculation that Hutton has been told to find another club. It is just speculation, but for the player to want to leave, he's going to need to get as much as he is getting from us each week and I'm not sure that is going to be that easy.

So on that, time for a break. There will be some real news soon. There has to be.
