Stoke 0 Aston Villa 0: The scoreline tells us so much about this game

Defeat is defeat and a draw is a draw, but you shouldn't be happy with a point or twelfth in the table after 18 games - it is woeful at the moment and the football is poor.

The two teams above us also have games in hand and one of the three teams below us with a game in hand should they win, would go above us and if the other two won, we'd be two points from 17th.

The thing is, we wont go down. The bottom three as it stands right now are terrible and they could be the ones to go this season and we are better than all three - but it could get quite embarrassing - but only to us. Randy Lerner doesn't care or know what is going on - he isn't even interested.

I want to write about the match

I really do want to focus on the match but it was boring. They came closest when they hit the bar and we had a close chance early in the second half when Gabby crossed from the left (I'm not going to write it) but The Fonz just wasn't quick enough.

Yes - you read that right. the Fonz was a second half substitute for Heskey and while he didn't do anything particularly exciting - he only got 45 minutes and he needs games.

Overall - dull is a good word for this game and after we had that chance and they hit the crossbar - there really is very little to write about.

The team and your man of the match

Guzan, Cuellar, Dunne, Collins, Warnock, Albrighton, Clark, Petrov, N'Zogbia, Agbonlahor, Heskey. Subs: Marshall, Ireland, Delfouneso, Bannan, Weimann, Johnson, Gardner.

Please vote to the right - hard one I know, so why not pick Guzan - he is looking good.
