At Newcastle and Everton next

It's never nice to lose, but to lose the first game of the season and to concede five, it's just made today not very nice, so I'm just going to do my best and forget about it.

You see, I could beat myself up about it, but I know it was just a bump. I know it's not going to be something that happens very often and I know that it was probably first day nerves.

And I also know that the manager will fix it and that this was just a blip. If I wanted to take this to a place where you'd question me, I could even go so far to suggest that it's nice to get it out of the way early this season.

The overriding feeling from yesterday is that we didn't deserve to lose by this number and we could have scored more. It's not as bad as some on social media are making out. In the big picture, this will be forgotten.

In other news, Mings went off and it didn't look good. I suspect we'll find out the full extent of the injury tomorrow but we do have cover and there is something in that from a footballing perspective.

Arguably, it's also not cover, we have players that were brought in to replace him. Obviously, if it's as bad as it could be it's not nice for the player, but we shouldn't forget he will get the best possible treatment and I'm sure he'll be back.

And you know what, I've got not much else to write about yesterday. I will say, we have a week off because it's Everton next Sunday and I'm just going to look forward to that for now and move on from yesterday and let the Newcastle fans have fun it.
