When we had Doug Ellis at Aston Villa things were different. He knows that it doesn't take this long to see the football getting better. But he also knows if you spend £40+ million you have to get better players.
I guess what I'm saying is we don't have a football man at the club and Lambert is like a kid in a sweet shop when it comes to transfers and a very small one at that, who can't reach the best shelves.
I guess what I'm saying is I don't really look forward to Aston Villa at the moment. But I still love my football and I hope we do well this weekend and there will be a match post and everything else that comes with that, but nothing will surprise me and I don't expect to be surprised.
You see, I think we'll beat Norwich. But if we don't, does it matter? As things stand now, I'm more interested in Arsenal and Chelsea winning and even though we're not doing great at the moment, I think there are three worse sides than us.
And we don't have Doug Ellis in charge any more. We've got a non football man that was only ever here for the money and a CEO that knows about as much as I do about running a Football Club.
So, for today, I'm going to support both Chelsea and Arsenal. I just quite like the idea of supporting a side that plays decent football and is likely to win me a few quid. Until tomorrow, I'm Paul Lambert.
