I've not written since last week but watch the video below. Don't you just want him to succeed after hearing that? You want him to put his foot down and take grip of everything at Aston Villa and turn it around.
I think it will be easier with John Terry and I think he'll be given more time. I hope he's given more time, I really do. Could any of you imagine getting the chance to play or manage Aston Villa. Just for this reason, he needs to be given all the time in the world.
But it's going to be hard and it's not going to turn around from the first match, although in fairness it might seem like it does, but we have to set expectations and it shouldn't be that we get carried away. But when you watch the video below, you'll hear that hopes are promotion. That doesn't mean it's going to happen.
But it can. And I'm starting to believe.

I can't not write something about Doug. I wont go into details, but I will say that I learnt after the petition was started and all the press that he was doing his best to find a new owner a long time before. Nobody can ever doubt that he didn't always have the best intentions for Aston Villa.
He's a proper football man and he'll be long remembered. Hat tip Doug.
