Three reasons, the difference between 16 and 46 and #LoveLuke

I feel like a 16 year old all of a sudden. I wont tell you why, but if someone asks me in five years and points to this post and if things happen as every 16 year old wishes, I'll happily share. I'll share either way but does it have something to do with Ollie Watkins, Jack Grealish and Keinan Davis all scoring last night? Maybe.

Look, we know we're not going to win the League so we have to search out these micro moments of hope and optimism and go all in. My 16 year old self would, but at 46, I know I could, but should I?

Three reasons

We've just spent more money on a player than we ever have before that was brought in to score goals and in two outings, he's scored in both.

Our talisman and dare I say it future Club legend and hero to many, has signed a new long term contract at the Club and at the same time shown two fingers to the football world by staying and demonstrating loyalty and support for the Club he joined when he was six years old.

Finally, Keinan Davis a player that I believe one day will score 20 in a season for us and holds the ball up better than many I've seen in an Aston Villa shirt for a long time, also scored in his first outing of the season.

This is a moment that we should steal for ourselves and feel a little optimistic. We should sing and dance and believe for as long as we can because we know we're not going to win the League. We know we are not in the same League as Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City.

Until Monday I'm going to walk a little taller and maybe on Monday evening I get to keep this feeling for a few days longer. I'm 46 years old and I know it's not going to last forever, but that doesn't stop me enjoying these moments.

And that said, it's another busy day, so I'm going to publish this and ask you to share the love today because later this week, we've got a #LoveLuke competition where one of you is going to win £250 worth of Luke clothing. Say thank you Luke, he's reading!
