When I was young I had a dream, to watch the greatest football team

I love a beer and I love the football. Add those two things together and usually, after a few of the beers, a song or two is sung and there is a new one doing the rounds, which I fancy might just catch on.

If you haven't heard it yet, you'll be able to below and the lyrics are not that difficult either and if after you've watched this twice you've not got it, get off the beers in the afternoon.

I don't know where the song started, but like I said it's a catchy one and who knows, you might hear this one sung from Holte next time out. You now know the words, so don't hold back.

When I was young I had a dream, to watch the greatest football team, and here I am the dream is real, with Randy Lerner and Martin O'Neill ... Martin O'Neill, Martin O'Neill, Martin O'Neill, Martin O'Neill

Moving on from the song, we've got Gareth Barry talking about this summer and how he has matured since last summer and how he won't let the same thing happen again.

I've said this before but I reckon a deal was done, not like a contract or anything but more an agreement between him and O'Neill which rested on finishing in the top four.

I don't think it means for sure Barry is off, he might have seen some progress this year and if we act quickly in the transfer window, it might be enough to convince him to stay. One way or the other, we will know in about two months I reckon, but a lot can happen between now and then.

That is about it for today, I'm off for an early dinner before hitting the pub to watch some football. The wife has done something with fish, which she knows I don't like, as a form of punishment for me watching the football and having a beer on a Tuesday night. When did it become wrong to ahve a beer on a Tuesday night?

Anyway, that song I told you about can be viewed here on YouTube.
